Alison Cariello is a Resident in Counseling in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Ball State University in Indiana and her graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling from Marymount University. She is certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors.

Alison has several years of counseling experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of therapeutic environments ranging from short-term stabilization to long-term treatment, as well as facilitating individual and group therapy sessions. She has worked with clients to manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, ADHD, anger, substance use, developmental challenges, risky behaviors, and intra/interpersonal issues. She collaborates with individuals, their caretakers and their treatment team to create a treatment plan specific to each client's unique needs, often incorporating a trauma-informed, person-centered approach.
